How it works
The QR code is generated locally in your browser using an open-source encoding library — the text you enter is never sent to a server. That also means the generated code is static: it encodes your content directly and will keep working forever, independent of this website.
What can I encode?
Any short text works: a website link, plain text, a phone number (tel:+1234567890), an email (mailto:you@example.com), or Wi-Fi credentials in the format WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; — scanning that connects the phone to your network automatically.

Will the QR code expire?
No. This generates a static QR code that encodes your content directly, so it works forever and doesn't depend on this site staying online.
What resolution should I use for printing?
For print, use at least 600px to keep the code easy to scan at larger physical sizes. For screens, 300px is plenty.
Is there a length limit?
QR codes can technically hold about 3KB of text, but shorter content produces simpler codes that scan more reliably. Keep URLs under a few hundred characters when possible.
